A storm is moving across the country, sweeping families out of homes..Not since the Great depression have so many childen stood in the sight lines of homelesness. More than 1.5 million American children are on the streets or in the shelters.This is unacceptable social failing and contrary to the spirits of international law.

The 25th article of the United Nations Declaration of Human Right declared that "everyone has the right to housing".

IHI demonstrates that young people around the world are active in and concerned about their world; that the notion of rights has relevance everywhere in the world; and that young man and women can indeed, make a difference.
Our GOAL is to provide the youth with the confidence and leadership skills they need to take action on social issues in their communities and overseas. With three step program: Educate, Engage and Empower, we believe that we can help these young people develop into socially conscious global citizens and “knights” of change.

We live in one world with many cultures and many styles of communication .

Innocent Hearts International believe that understanding and respect

between cultures is the key to success in the global arena...

We strongly believe that education in the areas of philantrophy and cross-cultural communication can improve social concence and competence in dealing with cultural difference and thereby minimize destructive conflict among national, ethnic and other cultural groups.

We foster an awareness and appreciation of cultural differences and human right in both the domestic and international arenas and promote the same trough all forms of Art and Comunication.

Our projects will help students understand the idea of childresn's rights, gain a sense of themselves as people with dignity and hence with rights, and finally encourage them to act.

IHI wants to collect inspiring stories defending and promoting children's rights

The aim of all our projects is to create an opportunity for active young people to share their traditions and values and, thus, eliminate existing cross-cultural barriers; also by means of non formal education to motivate them to get involved more actively in youth work and undertake initiatives to make positive social change.Our goals are:To give students the basic knowledge and skills in philantrophy, communication, team-work and collaboration;To advocate the importance of cross-cultural dialogue and social inclusion of the youth and motivate them to promote cross-cultural learning;- To motivate the "Knights" to get engaged in the national children’s rights campaign actively; - To discuss and analyze the problems. conflicts and multicultural issues in the country and create a safe atmosphere for sharing those problems and information; - To provide space for sharing information about other cultures, traditions, values, rights etc. - To involve schools and educational institutions locally and abroad to provide space to come up with the ideas for projects to be implemented later on with the partnership with each other as a follow up to the project.

Did You Know?

Today more than ever before, children and young people are recognized as having rights. What's more, they are seen as having an active role to play in asserting those rights.

Children's rights are set out in the Convention on the Rights of the Child, the most widely ratified (given legal force) human rights convention of all time. In 1989, world leaders decided that children needed a special convention just for them because people under 18 years old (children) often need special care and protection that adults do not. The leaders also wanted to make sure that the world recognized that children have human rights too.

What Are Human Rights?

Human rights apply to every human being everywhere, and are rights to which you have a just claim. They are founded on respect for the dignity and worth of each individual. In other words, all you have to do to qualify for human rights is to be human. So whether you are the head of state or a beggar on the streets, a pop star or a factory worker, an Olympic runner or a wheelchair user; whatever your race, colour, gender, language, religion, opinions, origins, wealth, birth status or ability, you are entitled to these fundamental rights

Rights at StakeChildren's rights cover every aspect of the lives of children and adolescents and can be broken down into the following main categories: Survival rights: the right to life and to have the most basic needs met (e.g., adequate standard of living, shelter, nutrition, medical treatment). Development rights: the rights enabling children to reach their fullest potential (e.g. education, play and leisure, cultural activities, access to information and freedom of thought, conscience and religion). Participation rights: rights that allow children and adolescents to take an active role in their communities (e.g., the freedom to express opinions; to have a say in matters affecting their own lives; to join associations). Protection rights: rights that are essential for safeguarding children and adolescents from all forms of abuse, neglect and exploitation (e.g., special care for refugee children; protection against involvement in armed conflict, child labour, sexual exploitation, torture and drug abuse). Rights granted to children under the Convention on the Rights of the Child must be implemented with regard to three key principles: Best interests - In all actions concerning children, whether undertaken by public or private social welfare institutions, courts of law, administrative authorities or legislative bodies, the best interests of the child shall be a primary consideration.Non-discrimination - Each child's rights are ensured without discrimination of any kind, irrespective of the child's or his or her parent's or legal guardian's race, colour, sex, language, religion, political or other opinion, national, ethnic or social origin, property, disability, birth or other status. Participation - Children who are capable of forming his or her own views have the right to express those views freely in all matters affecting the child, the views of the child being given due weight in accordance with the age and maturity of the child.

So this is Maddy, Emily, Bo and NicholasBorn and bred in one of the rock ‘n’ roll capitals of the world, The Indecent is the next New York City band to keep your eye on. These 16-year-olds mix intelligent songwriting, thought-provoking lyrics, downtown NYC attitude, and raw rock ‘n’ roll angst into a fresh and unique post-millennium sound. Resurrecting the spirit, smarts, and soul of rock’s greatest underground eras, this quartet is a lethal combination of streetwise savvy, youthful expression, and maturity beyond their years.
“ FLAGS OF PIECE“ Developing responsibility of creating a Culture of Peace and for PeaceProgram initiated by Artist Antonella Diana http://www.antonelladiana.info/The painting workshop aim is to create flags and banners that investigate the theme of peace. Over several days, the participants will be encouraged to compose with lines, forms, colours and symbols a large painting on a thin canvas expressing a personal statement for peace. At the end of the workshop the realized flags and banners will be carried in a parade on the streets. This program has especially been created for situations where the social tensions and/or politics weigh heavily on young people. The objective is to use the artistic language to learn to express concepts, ideas and to manifest it in an artistic form as playful parade.
